The start of the festive season is very near now, and I have to admit that I am very excited about it. I love this time of year: the family get-togethers, the food, the presents, the cozy feeling inside while it’s cold and dark outside - everything!

Seeing other people’s houses can be truly inspirational! This summer, when I visited an old friend in Finland, I asked if I could take some pictures of their home. It’s very Scandinavian: lots of light, white walls, clean lines, light coloured wood.
Thanks to the internet, you don’t have to travel all the way to the Nordics in order to buy nice Scandinavian design items. Here is my list of internet shops specialising in Scandinavian design. These are perfect places to look for presents for Christmas for example!
Decorex 2014 ("UK’s premier luxury design and interiors show") was in London again in late September. I’ve now had some time to think about all the things I saw, go through my photos and notes. Here are some photos I wanted to share with you.
